School Project, Third Year

The Keg Menu + Motion Graphics
about.
The Keg is widely recognized for its premium steakhouse experience. In this project, I had to reimagine the brand as a fast casual dining concept designed for speed, accessibility, and convenience while still maintaining The Keg’s strong identity and reputation.
The challenge was to create a branded identity system and supporting digital touchpoints that extend The Keg brand into this new category. The project emphasizes branding and menu design for digital screens, with supporting applications for packaging and social media storytelling
Objectives:
Develop a sub-brand identity that works in harmony with The Keg’s
existing logo.Design a digital menu board system that balances legibility, clarity, and
strong brand expression.Apply the sub-brand identity to packaging and social media stories to demonstrate adaptability.

Work Process
For the sub-branding, I chose to retain the original logo while combining elements from both the menu and website color palettes to create a cohesive and easily recognizable identity.
When exploring naming directions, I considered options such as “Firecut,” “Prime,” and “Keggers.” While “Keggers” was a strong option, since it reflects how The Keg refers to its target audience, it may not be immediately recognizable to those unfamiliar with the brand.
Ultimately, I decided to keep the original logo and introduce the word “Express” to clearly communicate that this concept offers The Keg experience in a fast-casual format, suitable for locations like mall food courts. Once the brand was fully developed I jumped to the layout design of the menus, and instagram story posts.
